We provided them with a revitalized and rejuvenated visual identity that became the centrepiece of their new signs and website.
While all communications can be conducted via phone, the confirmation of the rental signage needs to be done via email. All agreements done via email are considered agreed upon and no other documents/forms will be sent out to be signed and approved by the client. However, a proof/mockup of the design will be sent out to the client for approval prior to delivering the rental sign.
KB Media will deliver, install, and remove all signage at the municipally approved sign location within a 75 km radius from Casselman, Ontario. In areas that we/you do not receive specific sign placement approval from the municipality, the sign will be placed in the location agreed upon with the client. In situations of obstructions, landscaping and other signage located in and/or around the agreed location, KB Media reserves the right to place the sign in another bylaw-compliant spot. If the client requests a service such as a move during the rental period, applicable fees will be applied.
All signs will be installed on the start date and removed on the end date of the rental/permit period; there is no guaranteed time of installation or removal of signage. Rentals will not be prorated based on this. Please plan and allow 5 business days for the production of your rental sign prior to the needed date. Signage production will proceed once we receive the final approval of the design proof. Rental signage will only be allocated and distributed on this basis.
The client agrees to pay any additional fees above the rental fee such as permit management fees, property rental fees, permit fees, graphic change fees, surplus design fees, translation fees, copywriting fees, and taxes to KB Media prior to the beginning of the rental term. An additional delivery fee will be applied to locations beyond our standard service region.
Client vectorized logos must be provided by the client. Additional fees may apply if KB Media must retrace and rebuild your corporate branding. The rental sign includes an hour of design; which normally covers a basic graphic. Elaborate designs may incur additional fees. Any additional fees will be communicated in advance to the client.
KB Media reserves the sole right to determine the standard for graphic and message content to be displayed on its signs. KB Media has the right to refuse to display or allow the display of content that it deems may be offensive to any members of the community, harmful to its own image, or that in any way violates the provisions of any government laws, regulations, and legislations. KB Media reserves the sole right to determine whether to accept an artwork from a customer to be displayed on the sign. The customer shall not take it upon itself to alter, modify, attach, add and/or remove any portion of the advertisement displayed on KB Media rental sign without the written consent of KB Media. KB Media is not responsible for content changes made by outside parties after the sign has been installed. KB Media reserves the right to charge a fee under these circumstances.
Copywriting, Proofreading, and Translation Fees
KB Media offers professional copywriting, proofreading, and translation services to assist the client in creating a unique tagline and call to action for their sign. This service is billed starting at $95 ($95 per hour). These fees will be communicated in advance to the client.
The client may claim a free artwork change after 3 consecutive months of rental. Otherwise, the client may request an artwork change to KB Media at any point during the rental period. Please plan and allow 5 business days for the production and change of your rental sign’s artwork prior to the needed date. Artwork change production will proceed once we receive the final approval of the new design proof. Rental signage artwork changes will only be allocated and distributed on this basis. Rates are as follows:
- KB Classic: $125 fee per artwork change if the sign is still on site.
- KB Giant: $195 fee per artwork change if the sign is still on site.
- KB Mini: $85 fee per artwork change if the sign is still on site.
Maintenance & Relocation of Signs
We do not allow the relocation or tampering of the sign by the customer or by a third party under the direction of the customer to relocate the sign. Unless otherwise agreed by KB Media and the customer in writing, a licensed KB Media employee will conduct any service or reparation to the sign during the rental period. KB Media has the right to enter the customer’s property to service and inspect the signage at any time throughout the rental period. A $125 fee will be charged to the client for any sign relocation. Higher fees may apply depending on distance of delivery.
Unless the client asks KB Media to manage and provide this service, the customer confirms and takes full responsibility in obtaining the approval of the landlord of the property on which the sign is to be installed and shall, upon request by KB Media, present a written letter of consent for the placement of the sign.
The client assumes all responsibility of complying with applicable municipal bylaws and its respective restrictions. As such, a permit fee may be required based on the location of the rented sign. KB Media can assist the client with handling permit applications upon request and for an additional fee.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of the wall wrap confirmation, as well when the project is completed. If you wish to cancel your order at any time, KB Media reserves the right to charge applicable fees such as print and design fees.
The rental duration varies depending on the permit acquired and applicable regional bylaws. However, the minimum rental term is 30 days.
The client acknowledges that mobile rental signs are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. As such, rental signage availability is subject to change without notice.
Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by KB Media, the signage will not be used and/ or moved to another location by the client or another party. KB Media reserves the rights to remove the rental sign at any time in which the client will not be compensated nor reimbursed for any lost advertising or permit days. If it is determined that the rental sign is being used for any purpose other than what was presented by KB Media, the same terms will apply.
The customer takes full responsibility to report any vandalism, tampering, and damage done to the signage of KB Media. KB Media will respond promptly to repair any rental sign vandalised, broken, and/or damaged.
